Dollar Tree Ribbon Rattle Box
As Christmas is approaching, we wondered what we should get Caden. Toys are so expensive and we notice that he ends up preferring paper, plastic bags, and other random things more than store-bought toys. Also, he gets tired of toys easily. Therefore, we have been racking our brains to find cheap toys that are engaging and fun. This was an idea that Lindsay came up with. She bought 2 plastic baskets (3 for $1) at our local Dollar Tree, put jingle bells inside (12 for $1) at Dollar Tree, fastened the baskets together with fishing line, and then threaded ribbons though the basket holes and tied thick knots on either side so the ribbons won't pull through. The minute he opened this gift, he was entranced! Weeks later, the sight (or sound) of it will get him grabbing for this ribbon rattle box. Total cost: around $4.
